Meet the Jury!

Katherine Hogan, AIA is a principal at Katherine Hogan Architects in Raleigh, NC. She believes in good design at any scale and budget, with experience in various project types. The firm has won AIA awards for innovative design solutions and was named an Emerging Voice by the Architectural League of New York. They were featured in the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale exhibition, showcasing contemporary architecture in the American South.

Robby Johnston, AIA is a design advocate and co-owner of Raleigh Architecture Company and The Raleigh Construction Company. He focuses on energy reduction, critical form, and space-making in architectural projects. Robby has received multiple awards for his work and has been involved in various architecture-related activities and events.

Teri Canada, FAIA, LEED AP, NOMA is an advocate for architectural design, guiding projects efficiently. She is a founding Principal at EVOKE and emphasizes community engagement in her design process. Teri is a registered architect and has led award-winning projects. She mentors young architects and is involved in various community organizations.

Dennis Stallings, FAIA employs a collaborative, engaging design process to elevate the standard of design, both within the teams he leads and in our profession. With over 36 years of experience, leads teams in developing design solutions for various projects. He has received over 100 design awards and is a Professor at NC State College of Design, inspiring young architectural students.

Emily McCoy, FASLA, SITES AP, is an Associate Professor of Practice at North Carolina State University and Principal at Design Workshop, a landscape architecture and urban planning firm with projects worldwide. Emily leads the Raleigh Studio and serves on the Board of Directors. She is passionate about community service and holds positions on various advisory boards and trusts, including the Landscape Architecture Foundation and Design Workshop Foundation.
