Become a Professional Allied Member

Individuals with established professional reputations who are registered to practice their professions where such requirements exist, or persons who are employed outside of architectural practice but are involved in positions allied to the field or architecture are eligible for Allied Membership in AIA Maryland. Members may also include engineers, planners, landscape architects, sculptors, muralists, artists, and others in government, education journalism, manufacturing, industry and/or other fields allied to architecture. Others include those who are employed by firms in the construction industry engaged in research, design, development, testing, manufacture, distribution, or training for building and construction products or systems.

AIA Maryland members represent the key stakeholders in Maryland’s more than $100-million-a-year architectural industry. Our members’ projects contribute directly to the $18 billion a year in construction spending in Maryland. Partnering with AIA Maryland through sponsorship is a marketing and public relations plan designed to keep your name before the over 1,700 AIA Maryland members who design, spec and purchase materials and services on behalf of their clients.
